COVID-19 Patient Update 15 May

News

Our team at Westmead Fertility Centre is pleased to announce that we can now progress with our phased approach to the resumption of services. On Thursday 21 May we will move into Phase 2 and reopen for new IVF and ICSI cycles.

We have undertaken extensive risk assessments and introduced new precautions for the delivery of fertility treatment in this current environment. These precautions assure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and our staff.  Our team will explain these new precautions to you and how our clinic will need to operate differently at this time.  We will be doing our absolute best to manage the availability of treatment, while balancing the safe and cautious access to our clinical areas.  We will require your full commitment to actively support these very necessary precautions during each step of your treatment.

If your period is due on or after Thursday May 21 and you are intending to start a new IVF or ICSI cycle at that time, please help us manage the transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 by advising our team via the ‘Contact Us’ function within the Patient Portal. Let us know the date of your last period and the anticipated date of day 1 of your next period. Our team will use this information to ensure that everything is in order for you to get started when the time is right.

If your period arrives before Thursday 21 May, then please let us know via the ‘Contact Us’ function within the Patient Portal and our team will work with you to coordinate treatment in a next available future cycle.

We ask that you please contact us by these methods at this time to support us to help all of our patients in the most effective way.

We look forward to welcoming you back and to again assisting you on your fertility journey.
